This week we were so blessed to celebrate the Passover meal. Many years ago Jonathan and I went to a Passover meal at a Messianic
church and it is something I have always wanted to do at home, but never did. Partly because I wanted to do it "right". I have even had this plate just for Passover since I was pregnant with Molly. I have several books that talk about it, but I have always wanted someone who knew how. This year the Lord provided Shawn. He is a student at the ministry. He goes to a messianic church back home, and so he has celebrated the Passover. It was such a wonderful night. The Passover meal is filled with so much symbolism and so much of it points to Christ.

The table is all set.

The boys and the guys made
yamakas (or
yarmulka, I
found it spelled both ways)

"
Ugg I forgot the
Matzah!" Not a problem, thankfully I had tortillas, which were yeast free and according to Shawn more like what they would have eaten anyway.

Lighting the candles while Shawn sang the song that goes with the candle lighting. Would like to learn that and teach it to my boys, along with the other song we sang through out the meal.

Andrew was so excited when he finally got to eat the egg!

For all those who keep telling me that I don't put enough pics of me on the blog...

Afterward the boys all played basketball- yes in the house! Danny was so kind to carry Andrew around while playing!

Cody taking a shot.

Lots of fun!

I am so grateful to the Lord. He has just blessed us so much with dear friends and the knowledge of Him. If the Lord tarries in His coming we will be having a Passover meal next year at our house. Anyone will be welcome! It really brought a lot of depth to me and my faith. Thank you for sharing with us Shawn!
