Jon decided to plant a garden. First thing was to make a bed and prep the soil. We had a rain storm during this, making it a nice mud pit. The boys decided that they wanted to go out and pretend that they were the Israelites making bricks with out straw. (Hmm can you figure out what we have been studying lately?)
I think this is a tomato plant...
The finished bed. When we moved into the house it had this large metal shed. Jon took it apart and it has been very handy. He has used it to make a fence where the fence gate was broken when we moved in, used pieces under the swings so the boys feet don't get all muddy, and now he used it to make the garden bed. The Lord does provide!

Then Jon built this top part so that he could put netting all around the garden to keep out the bunnies and birds.
A tomato growing on the upside down tomato plant. This one actually had a dove living in the top with a nest. Unfortunately she left before I could get a picture. Guess she got tired of having her nest flooded every time we had to water the plant.
