Besides snow we had many Christmas blessings! We had wonderful times and fellowship with our friends here in Texas. Above Cody and Kyle are looking at the angel chimes. This was something that I grew up with and my mom and dad got me my own one year. The boys really like it.
We got to celebrate the fourth Sunday of Advent with Gen, Ruth, and Brenda. It was wonderful!! They made us a scrumptious lunch. Then we lit the Advent candles. Advent is my favorite part of Christmas as it really keeps the focus on our Lord and Savior Jesus who came to earth the save us from our sins so the we can be with Him in heaven! It begins 4 weeks before Christmas, each week you light one candle. The first candle reminds us of the prophets who foretold of the Lord Jesus coming and just as the Israelites looked forward to His coming so we should be looking forward to His second coming, the second candle is for Bethlehem where Jesus was born as the prophets foretold, the third candle is for the Shepherds who the angles announced His birth to and the great joy they had at the news. The fourth candle represents the angels and how they came with the messages to Mary, Joseph and the shepherds. Each week we read scriptures about what the candle is about and then we sing carols that also go with what we are learning.

Andrew gave me this book for Christmas, because I needed something "girly". :) He is a real sweetie.
For Christmas dinner we went to the Mayo's. It was wonderful! Marty and Cathrine joined us. Bob is Jon's coordinator and Marty also works in the same department as Jon.

I don't know exactly what Kyle and Andrew were doing, but they were sure having a good time together!
